This is a delicious and nutritious snack I really look forward to. I love how low calorie this is yet so satisfying and filling. When I first came up with this winning combo, I ate it every single day at work for three weeks straight! I also ate it a lot in the weeks leading up to my bikini competition as it kept me full despite being in a calorie deficit.
This is the perfect pick-me-up for breakfast, morning tea or afternoon tea! The banana and coffee gives you a great energy boost. You also receive a good dose of protein from the protein powder to keep you feeling full for longer. The cinnamon will help stabilise your blood sugar levels and the chia seeds and greek yoghurt give you a nice healthy serve of good fats.
I created this recipe when I stopped taking the pill.
One of the things you are recommended to do when helping your body recover from the pill is to cleanse your liver. This is because your liver is the detox organ for the body. It filters your blood and removes any non-beneficial substances such as pollutants, toxins and excess oestreogens. It has its work cut out for it when you stop taking the pill because it has to clear out all the excess hormones. I was overwhelmed about all the different foods

Ginger has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties. It aids digestion, relieves nausea, has anti-inflammatory effects and can ease cold and flu symptoms such as headaches and sore throats. Lemon is wonderful for your liver, the detox organ of

Two of life’s simple pleasures: fresh popcorn and mountain views.
This has got to be one of the easiest things you could possibly make in the kitchen! I love to make homemade popcorn to take to the movies. Corn is a grain, so I recommend you eat it only occasionally as it’s not as nutrient-dense as others foods like vegetables, fruit, meat, nuts etc.

One of the things I get asked most often by people who are wanting to get a little healthier or lose weight is for snack ideas. Much to my husband’s amusement, I need to snack! He was always a three-large-meals-a-day type of person, so he finds it funny that I have to pack snacks before we go out anywhere, and how I suggest we stop for morning tea whenever we’re out sightseeing. Personally, I find that if I have morning and afternoon tea I can avoid getting to
Every healthy foodie has got their signature way of doing homemade granola, so I thought it was about time I shared mine! I love to eat granola with Greek yoghurt and either a grated apple, sliced banana or berries. I tend to find it’s not as filling as having eggs for breakfast but it’s a nice change when you feel like something different, and fantastic to bring when going on holidays where you won’t have the facilities to make a cooked breakfast.
I like to have this smoothie on a really hot day or after a workout. It’s beautifully refreshing and tastes absolutely delicious – it’s like dessert in a glass! Thanks to the banana and maca powder, it’s quite energising, too.
If you don’t want to buy powdered peanut butter (available from iherb.com), you can use a tablespoon of normal
