I created this recipe when I stopped taking the pill.
One of the things you are recommended to do when helping your body recover from the pill is to cleanse your liver. This is because your liver is the detox organ for the body. It filters your blood and removes any non-beneficial substances such as pollutants, toxins and excess oestreogens. It has its work cut out for it when you stop taking the pill because it has to clear out all the excess hormones. I was overwhelmed about all the different foods which are beneficial for the liver. So I thought, ‘how about I put as many of these foods as I can into a smoothie, then I can just drink this a few times a week and know I’m benefiting my liver?’ (The fruit is mainly there to make it drinkable.)

[…] Support the liver with its detox from excess oestrogen. Eat heaps of crucificious vegetables to do this e.g broccoli, cauliflower. I made up a smoothie which contains many ingredients which are beneficial for the liver here. […]
