Vanilla Latte Smoothie Bowl

This is the perfect pick-me-up for breakfast, morning tea or afternoon tea! The banana and coffee gives you a great energy boost. You also receive a good dose of protein from the protein powder to keep you feeling full for longer. The cinnamon will help stabilise your blood sugar levels and the chia seeds and greek yoghurt give you a nice healthy serve of good fats.

Serves 1

Ingredients

Smoothie:
100ml cold almond milk
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp instant coffee (with a hint of caramel flavour is lovely)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
100g banana, frozen in small chunks preferably
30g vanilla whey protein powder (I use bare blends)
1tbs/ 30g Greek yoghurt
1 tray ice

Toppings:
10g chopped almonds or hazelnuts
1 tsp cacao nibs
Sprinkle vanilla powder or cinnamon

Method

  1. Place all the smoothie ingredients into your blender. Blend on high speed for 60 – 90 seconds.
  2. Pour into a bowl and decorate with toppings.
